The holidays are coming! The holidays are coming! If you’re anything like us, holidays are centered around dessert and family (maybe not in that order?). We have teamed up with Fresh Thyme to create a crowd pleaser recipe that takes the cake and can be whipped up on the fly. A banana split….ICE CREAM CAKE. This cake has all the vibes of a banana split but can be served family style. Get creative. Pick out your favorite Coolhaus Ice Cream pints from Fresh Thyme and create your own flavor combo! Maybe some peanut butter cups and Coolhaus Campfire S’mores ice cream? Or, some strawberries and Coolhaus Chocolate Molten Cake ice cream? You really can’t go wrong.
Ingredients:
1 Frozen Butter Pound Cake
1 Pint of Coolhaus Bananas Foster Ice Cream, softened
1 Pint of Coolhaus Sundae Funday Ice Cream, softened
1 Ripe Banana, sliced
18 Maraschino Cherries (we recommend Luxardo brand)
Directions:
- Slice pound cake lengthwise into 3 slices
- Line the pound cake container with plastic wrap
- Put bottom layer of pound cake back into the container
- Cover with Bananas Foster ice cream
- Place sliced banana on top of the ice cream
- Put second layer of pound cake on top of the bananas and push down slightly
- Cover with Sundae Funday ice cream
- Place maraschino cherries on top of the ice cream
- Add top layer of pound cake and push down again
- Wrap and freeze for 30 minutes or until the ice cream cake is firm
- Slice and enjoy
